About Us

The historic Old Brinn House is believed to have been constructed in the 1850s, originally owned by John Davis, a partner at the nearby Herbertville Mine. In 1860, merchant Morris Brinn and his brother, Nathan, arrived in Sutter Creek and opened a mercantile on Main Street. Five years later, Morris acquired this property and significantly expanded it, resulting in the two-story structure that stands today.

Once a beloved local restaurant throughout the 1970s and later transformed into The Foxes Bed and Breakfast, we are excited to embrace our role as the new proprietors. We aim to blend the charm of the past with modern comforts under our new name, Brinnwood Bed & Breakfast.

With 6 large bedrooms, Brinnwood Bed & Breakfast retains much of its original allure, featuring exquisite Victorian antique wood furniture inherited from previous owners, along with charming clawfoot bathtubs in every room. These timeless elements are harmoniously complemented by contemporary conveniences, including smart TVs, mini-split heating and cooling systems, updated bathrooms stocked with luxury bath products, and comfortable linens.

Who We Are

Brinnwood Bed and Breakfast will be proudly operated by The Wood Family— Danny, Lindsey, Otis, and their little one on the way.

Lindsey, a native of Amador County, and her husband Danny have spent the past two decades exploring some of the most exciting urban cities in the nation, including New York, San Francisco, Austin, and most recently, Los Angeles. Now, seeking a change of pace, she and Danny have settled back in their roots. For the last ten years, they have both worked in commercial photography — Danny as a set builder and Lindsey as a food stylist and culinary expert. They are thrilled to channel their talents into creating a unique and unforgettable experience for all who visit Brinnwood Bed & Breakfast.
